When you use the dynamic block properties in it, AUTOCAD (not electrical portion) will RENAME it and not notifiy electrical. This lets autocad use the original in it's original layout. You are basically creating a new symbol on the fly with no link to the electrical project. Electrical will now ignore it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860829628635515413.post-89285391271244205962014-09-23T13:58:30.195-07:002014-09-23T13:58:30.195-07:00Sorry I don't have this block anymore and woul...Sorry I don't have this block anymore and would have to ask for permission before I could release it anyway.
I asked www.GrabCAD.com to add an AutoCAD Electrical category for electrical symbols. My plan was to post a lot of them but just haven't found the time. It would be awesome if you could post a few.Stan Wilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13255945575898038298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8860829628635515413.post-30578257040259499602014-09-23T13:39:59.513-07:002014-09-23T13:39:59.513-07:00You must be referring to the parametric pcl blocks...You must be referring to the parametric pcl blocks. I don't have a good answer for swapping those. The block I'm building here is a static block and should never change names.
For swapping parametric I guess you could build a new block off to the side and then use the swap tool with the pick option. Then select the blocks on screen. If your symbol in your library updates, how do you update that block. I haven't had any luck with the update block feature for symbols/blocks that changed names. I have no problem recreating it and I enjoyed your tutorial. I'll even trade symbols :-)ControlsGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11220063469457645403noreply@blogger.com
